Brunswick is a community whose genesis and early history relates to the Missouri River. Dating from 1836, this historic and charming town is nestled at the foot of the Missouri River Hills, at the confluence of the Grand and Missouri Rivers.

Located in southwestern Chariton County and North central Missouri, Brunswick is 100 miles from Kansas City and the Kansas City Air Transportation Facilities. Norfolk Southern Railway provides freight rail service. U.S. Highway 24 connects the town to the town to U.S. 65, 20 miles to the west and U.S. Highway 63, 40 miles to the east. Interstate 70 is 30 miles to the south. Brunswick hosts its own Helicopter Pad for the Ambulance Service when emergency care is required on an immediate basis.
