Herring Memorial Park


One of the beauty spots in Brunswick is the Herring Memorial Park. This spot was originally a camp and fair ground owned b fair ground owned by Mr. Lloyd H. Herring, Sr. In 1952, the Herring family in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Herring Sr. Huge oak trees donated it to the city of Brunswick, and grassy hills make up the terrain. There are now two shelter houses, complete with tables and benches, and many ovens for preparing food. Playground equipment has been added for the children.

The park is in constant use for itinerant campers, family gatherings, church services, school picnics, political rallies, and other outings.
